Having lived and worked in seven countries, I have developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Anthropology from Middlebury College in Vermont USA, I completed my PGDE in Drama at the University of Aberdeen and later earned a Master’s in English Literature and Language from Middlebury College at their Oxford University campus. Most recently, I spent six years leading the Drama department at a secondary school in Scotland, while also working as a part-time theatre reviewer for an international publication.

I became a teacher because I believe drama has the unique power to inspire young people and help them navigate both themselves and the world around them. I am particularly interested in how theatre can serve as a tool for building empathy, strengthening communities, and empowering students to become compassionate global citizens. What I love most about teaching is watching pupils grow in confidence through creativity, collaboration, and positive risk-taking, ultimately discovering the strength of their own voices. Outside the classroom, I enjoy yoga, hiking and reading.
