STAFF PROFILE - MATHS TEACHER

“I AM INSPIRED BY STUDENTS´ NATURAL CURIOSITY AND THEIR DESIRE TO UNDERSTAND HOW AND WHY THINGS WORK”.
A love of mathematics and the world of science brought me to teaching. After completing my MSc in Physics and Mathematics education in Ireland, I worked two years in Ireland before moving to the US where I taught STEM and Science for three years.
I am passionate about helping students make sense of the world through mathematics and science. I am particularly inspired by students’ natural curiosity and their desire to understand how and why things work. In my teaching, I aim to nurture that curiosity while helping students develop the mathematical and scientific skills they need to approach both abstract ideas and real-world problems with confidence.
Mathematics and science are powerful tools for exploring, questioning, and understanding the world around us and therefore my goal is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to ask questions, think creatively and persevere through challenges.
Beyond the classroom, I love spending time in nature—hiking, cycling, and observing and identifying local flora and fauna. When I’m indoors, you’ll often find me taking a dance class!
