STAFF PROFILE - LIBRARIAN & TA
ELLA MAGEE
“ AS THE SCHOOL LIBRARIAN, I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT CREATING AN INSPIRING AND WELCOMING SPACE FOR OUR COMMUNITY. I BELIEVE THAT CREATIVITY, CURIOSITY, AND WIDE READING ARE AT THE HEART OF LEARNING.”
I qualified as a teacher in the UK with a PGCE, following my BA and MA in Visual Arts where I specialised in Artist as Ethnographer. My teaching journey has taken me to secondary schools in the UK, Portugal and Singapore, where I have taught Art and shared my passion for creativity with students from diverse backgrounds. Alongside my teaching, I am also a practicing artist and have exhibited my work in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and the UK.
As the school Librarian, I am passionate about creating an inspiring and welcoming space for our community. I believe that creativity, curiosity, and wide reading are at the heart of learning. The library is a place where students can explore ideas across disciplines, discover new stories and perspectives, and grow their love of learning.
ABOUT MS MAGEE
I love exploring new cultures and learning about human behaviour, often through both reading and travel. As a disciplined art practitioner, I continue to create and exhibit my own work. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and discovering different parts of the world together.
