“EDUCATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT. EVERY STUDENT DESERVES A SAFE, WELCOMING AND SUPPORTIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, WHERE THEY FEEL VALUED AND ABLE TO SUCCEED”

Originally from Colorado, I studied sociology, languages and liberal arts. These subjects gave me a deep appreciation for the humanities and the insights they offer into how society works. Before joining the British School of Lisbon, I taught English as a Second Language, an experience that strengthened my belief in inclusive and accessible education.

I work in education because I believe it has the power to change lives. It is not only deeply meaningful work; it is also genuinely fun. Each day brings new opportunities to support young people, help them grow in confidence and knowledge, and encourage them to see their potential.

I am committed to the idea that education is a human right. Every student deserves a safe, welcoming and supportive learning environment, where they feel valued and able to succeed. I always strive to treat each student as an individual, adapting my approach to meet their unique needs and learning styles.
