STAFF PROFILE - TA
Imman Hussain
“I BELIEVE THAT LEARNING IN A TRULY INCLUSIVE AND GLOBAL COMMUNITY ENCOURAGES CURIOSITY, RESPECT AND A LOVE OF DISCOVERY!”
This is my first year working as a Teaching Assistant, having recently graduated with a First Class Honours degree in History and Sociology from the University of Manchester.
Before joining the classroom, I worked in the field of diversity and inclusion. I supported neurodivergent undergraduate students and those with learning disabilities, in creating inclusive and creative spaces on campus. This experience deepened my passion for inclusion, which remains at the heart of my approach to education.
Having spent eight years living in Qatar, I deeply value multiculturalism and the opportunities it brings to learn from different communities and perspectives. I believe in fostering curiosity and encouraging every child to feel seen, valued and empowered within a diverse learning environment.
ABOUT MS HUSSAIN
I love expressing my creativity in lots of ways, especially through painting and crocheting. I love to unwind with a book or a jigsaw puzzle. I also enjoy travelling and learning about different cultures and histories. Some of my favourite places I have visited so far include Sri Lanka, Russia, and Italy. I am excited to be part of such a vibrant and international school community here in Lisbon!
