STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER
Corinna Barker
“ I REALLY ENJOY BEING A TEACHER BECAUSE EVERY CHILD IS UNIQUE AND NO DAY IS THE SAME.”
I grew up in East London and went to university in Liverpool, returning to London to complete my PGCE. My degree in early childhood and dance has positively influenced my teaching career so far through my child centred teaching and my creative approach to the curriculum. I have worked in primary schools for the past 5 years and have a lot of experience in KS1.
I was inspired to become a teacher after spending a year in a primary school as a teaching assistant. I then opted to train via a classroom based degree which meant I took on responsibility in class rapidly.
I really enjoy being a teacher because every child is unique and no day is the same.
